Long-Time Clean Energy Advocate Joins Solar Trade Group
Effective February 1, 2016, Jeff Bissonnette joins OSEIA as Executive Director

Portland, OR - Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association (OSEIA) is proud to announce Jeff Bissonnette as their new Executive Director. This is an exciting time for the solar industry and Jeff Bissonnette comes to OSEIA after more than 17 years with Citizens' Utility Board of Oregon (CUB), the state's residential utility ratepayer advocate organization.

OSEIA has observed a mature growth in the solar industry and is ready to contribute to further expansion by supporting the tenured leadership of a full time Executive Director. Jeff joins OSEIA to promote a solar energy future that will restore Oregon's standing as a leader in the country. Through his time with Citizens' Utility Board, he has worked extensively with the energy policy landscape of Oregon. Jeff is well seasoned in the trenches of the Public Utility Commission and in the halls of the Capital; he is ready to hit the ground running for Oregon's bright solar future.

"Jeff's entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of what solar businesses need to grow will bring a wide range of stakeholders together to contribute greatly to the industry as a whole," says Paul Israel, OSEIA Board President. Among Jeff's many accomplishments, his work leading the Fair and Clean Energy Coalition passed the legislation that lead to the creation of the Energy Trust of Oregon and Oregon's Renewable Energy Standard. OSEIA is confident Jeff can lead Oregon into a future where solar is a significant piece of the energy portfolio, as well as throughout the Northwest.
